Spring brings 50% reduction on commercial use

Based on market feedback we decided to leave the distinction between the private and commercial license.

This means that for commercial usage the prices of all reports have been reduced be 50%.
The “All reports” package had already a 30% discount and will cost now not €114.00 but €79.75.

Did you know that we also have several Lightroom plug-in?

New plug-in “Photo list importer”

Finally our new Lightroom plug-in “Photo list importer”  is published at Photographers-Toolbox.com.

Do you get lists of selected photos from clients? The challenge is how to transform that list into a selection of photos in Lightroom,
without manually copy and pasting them.

This plug in reads a file or the clipboard with file names, searches for these file names in Lightroom and stores these in a collection called  “LRS_Photo_List” for furher processing.

New plug-in “Find similar files”

Finally our new Lightroom plug-in “Find similar files”  is published at Photographers-Toolbox.com.

This plug-in was born out of a request of a professional photographer reworking old RAW images with Lightroom 4. The new process version of version 4 enabled him to rework old images and do this previous were not possible.
Yet, doing so he needed to find and cleanup his old master and derivative files.

Another usage of this plug-in is to find all JPG, TIF etc versions of an image.

Select a couple of images and this plug-in will find all images in your Lightroom catalog that have a similar file name.

It assumes that you have a naming strategy.

Peter Krogh, author of the DAM book, and Richard Anderson share some best practices how to handle Original and derivative files on dpBestflow.org . See also the paragraph on file names.

Update Images per lens report

A bug was reported to the Lenses per camera report.

When running the report against the images in the Quick Collection, this chart contained all the images in the catalog and not only those in the Quick Collection.

The bug is fixed. You can download the new version of this report or the package in which is contained.

For more information on downloading and updating, see forum topic “How to download and install update

Update Assessment report

After 3 months of testing and using the Assessment report it appeared that the info on the White balance, Temperature and Tint, was not adding any value. Further for all users shooting in RAW there is no “default value”.

Because less can be more, we removed this info.

The new report is uploaded and a new sample is ready for download.

If you have any thought about it, please give me feedback.

Demo and blog at studio Frank Doorhof

Last Friday I was invited by Frank Doorhof to give a demo of the LightroomStatistics products. We had a very interesting conversation. He also showed me his beautiful new studio.
He wrote:

Today something totally different, although still very interesting for us photographers and teachers.
We all know Lightroom right?
But did you know that with the proper plugins you can get a lot of information about your Lightroom usage out of it?

Last week I met up with the writer of this series of plugins and asked him to write this guest blog for the blog, I hope you enjoy it, and make sure to checkout the plugins they are very cool.

Today my blog was published, see : blog.

Thank you Frank!
